We are a mother/daughter owned for profit parent community and child enrichment center. Our customers all know each other by name and we all keep an eye out for one another. Yoga Instructor

Position Overview: 

Parenting Resources is currently hiring a Yoga Instructor! We are seeking a responsible, outgoing, friendly, timely, self- starter who is able to manage one or two of our very unique classes with new Moms, older infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The class may be with caregivers present and/or drop-off.

WARNING: Our classes are not your typical yoga classes. At all. You must be flexible, fun loving, and laid back- our. Our classes tend to be a little loud, and may have kids running and climbing things during class. If you can't see yourself laughing at a kiddo dancing in the middle of your class, or a Mom changing a diaper while you're teaching, then this job is probably not a great fit.

Schedule:

  • One weekday afternoon Baby & Me Yoga Class
  • One weekday morning You Yoga, They Play! Class
  • Quarterly team meetings required
  • Occasional special events, as needed

Traits and Experience Desired:

  • Experienced in teaching yoga 
  • Experience in working with families, babies, small children, or Moms
  • Timely and responsible
  • Ability to put new Moms at ease and meet them where they're all physically and emotionally
  • Basic ability to use computers and tablets 
  • Desire to build and grow your class
  • Friendly, welcoming, and able to mingle with members and prospective members 
  • Fun loving and able to interact with babies and small children
  • Culturally competent and inclusive, as our clientele is diverse in race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, family make up, and parenting style

Expected Tasks May Include:

  • Planning and execution of yoga classes
  • Straightening up after students after class
  • Arriving at least 15 minutes before class for set up and staying until students leave, if applicable
  • May have some basic center opening or closing tasks, depending on class time
  • Providing exemplary customer service to current and prospective members
  • Building and growing your class to increase attendance
  • Processing payments and memberships as needed

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is $20 per class. No insurance benefits are offered at this time. 

This is a subcontracted position

Play & Learn Club Membership is included, if you have children

This may be a bring your child to work position, if applicable, dependent on the applicant and ability to manage the challenge of running a class with their child present. This can be discussed in further detail at interview.


Spanish teacher

Position Overview: 

Parenting Resources is currently hiring a Spanish Teacher to develop a fun kid-friendly Spanish Explorers class here at our center. We are seeking a responsible, outgoing, friendly, timely, self- starter who is able to manage a class with older infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The class may be with caregivers present and/or drop-off

Schedule:

  • One weekday morning each week, beginning in Octobner
  • Quarterly team meetings required
  • Occasional special events, as needed
  • Potential for more classes if interest dictates

Traits and Experience Desired:

  • Experienced in teaching Spanish 
  • Experience in teaching or working with small children
  • Timely and responsible
  • Flexible and laid back, as students are different each week
  • Basic ability to use computers and tablets 
  • Desire to build and grow your class
  • Friendly, welcoming, and able to mingle with members and prospective members 
  • Fun loving and able to interact with babies and small children

Early Childhood Intern

Position Overview: 

Parenting Resources is currently hiring 1-2 Early Childhood Interns! This is an ideal opportunity for a early childhood students  interested in gaining more skills in working with toddlers and preschoolers. You'll gain unmatched experience, meet any required hours for your program if applicable, and build a resume that will impress future employers, agencies, and clients.

Hours:

  • 12 hours per week (hours can be tailored to meet program requirements)
  • Occasional special outreach events

Traits and Experience Desired:

  • Passion for working with little ones
  • Inclusive of all parenting styles and choices
  • Warm, welcoming, and accepting attitude and demeanor
  • Clean, neat and tidy
  • Ability to take direction and instruction
  • Foundational knowledge of child development and early childhood learning concepts
  • Exemplary communication and teaching skills
  • Culturally competent

Tasks May Include:

  • Assisting with early childhood enrichment classes
  • Assisting with GO Parents Parents Day Out Program
  • Development of activities for classes
  • Teaching child enrichment activities throughout the day
  • Supervising learning playspace and open play activities
  • Engaging with member children ages 0-6
  • Development and execution of activities for kids
  • Outreach events at expos and festivals
  • Assisting our experts during filming helpful videos and webinars for baby and child topics
  • Shadowing team members
  • Development of programming
  • General office and tasks needed to be completed by the center
  • Local travel may be expected

This is an unpaid intern position

Work is supervised by Mastered leveled owners and operators

Play & Learn Club Membership is included, if you have children

This is NOT a bring your infant or child to work position.


Postpartum Support Intern

Position Overview: 

Parenting Resources is currently hiring 1-2 Postpartum Support Interns! This is an ideal opportunity for a doula, social worker, or other individual interested in gaining more skills in working with new mothers. You'll gain unmatched experience, meet any required hours for your program if applicable, and build a resume that will impress future employers, agencies, and clients.

Hours:

  • 2-4 hours a week minimum- can be increased to specific amount to meet program requirements
  • Occasional special outreach events
  • Quarterly team meetings

Traits and Experience Desired:

  • Passion for working with new moms and their babies
  • Inclusive of all parenting styles and choices
  • Warm, welcoming, and accepting attitude and demeanor
  • Foundational knowledge of the needs and special issues surrounding the postpartum experience
  • Exemplary communication and teaching skills
  • Culturally competent

Tasks May Include:

  • Facilitation and co-facilitation of groups for new moms
  • Outreach events at mom expos
  • Assisting our experts at new mom classes
  • Assisting our experts during filming helpful videos and webinars for new moms
  • Shadowing team members
  • Assisting at professional postpartum related classes
  • Development of programming
  • Moderation and answering questions in prenatal and new mom Facebook groups
  • General office and tasks needed to be completed by the center
  • Local travel may be expected
